3rd Times a Charm...

So I just went and saw "Twilight" with my sister-in-law Amy. This was my third viewing of the movie. And it just gets better and better every time I see it. Saying "obsessed" could very well be an understatement, which is sad. But it brings such joy to my heart. So, go see it if you haven't. And I'll go with you....

Props to Chels....

How do Chels and I belong in different time periods?! We are twins for heaven sakes! Chels looks like the cute little gal that shows up with her "You belong in 1955" thing. And the description does fit her. I'm just sad that I happen to belong in 1994.... I was 11 years old people, but I can see myself in the grunge era....

You Belong in 1994

With you anything goes! You're grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It's all good!

My Very Best Twin...

So there are two things that I want in my life:

1. To be a vampire with Edward
2. To go to Disneyland with Chels for our birthday

There is only one of the two of those that can actually happen (sadly) although it hasn't been something I'd think would be able to happen any time soon. Well, on Christmas Eve Chels and I always exchange gifts. So we sat next to my Christmas tree and she handed me a beautiful peace of sparkly paper that had a poem written on it. She asked me to read it aloud. I started to cry within two sentences because it was just so sweet. Then, I got to the last paragraph which stated that she was taking me to DISNEYLAND FOR OUR BIRTHDAY! You have no idea how grateful I am that Chels always makes my dreams come true. She truly knows my heart, and once again, I don't know what I would do without a twin. So here's the plan:

We fly out of SLC on February 14th (our birthday) at 7am. We get to Cali around 8am their time, and we will head straight to Disneyland! Jesse and Quenten contributed by renting a room across from the park for us. I can't tell you what a dream this has been for me and Chels for so long!

So thank you to my Chels Lyn for being my twin, for knowing my heart, and for making my dreams come true! Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday! (Chels and I believed that Chip and Dale were based on us when we were little, so I had to throw in a picture of them! I LOVE CHIP AND DALE!)

The Vet Tech In Me....

I have an issue that requires the use of my soap box for a moment. I don't know if anyone reads my blog anymore because I never post anymore, but I'm really trying here. So I hope people will look at this. So on Sunday I was walking into church when a beautiful blue heeler puppy ran up to me. She was so excited and I instantly fell in love with her (look at the name of the blog people, are you surprised?) Anywho, I saw a guy standing by his car and I said "Is this your dog?" He said "No, but she's a sweetheart and my wife would love her." We proceeded to talk about the legality behind keeping a dog who was not yours, and that she would need to go to the Murray Animal Shelter the next morning as they were closed on Sundays. He said he would take her home and then to the shelter the next day.
So I went and taught my primary class and began walking to my car when I noticed my favorite little blue heeler accompanied by the guy I had met earlier and his wife. She was almost in tears and said "I LOVE HER SO MUCH! But our dog isn't liking her much at this point, and if we aren't sure we are going to get to keep her, I don't want to go through this yet. But we want her if no one claims her." They gave me the puppy and told me to keep them posted.

Well, I am not allowed to have pets at my condo so I was getting creative with ways to keep her until the next morning. So Chels and I walked around the neighborhood surrounding my church knocking door-to-door with no luck. Then I took her to Cottonwood Animal Hospital to get scanned for a microchip. Well, she had NONE. The point of this post is that if you have a pet, GET A CHIP! It's $35 people, that's all. My cat's are indoor only, but I still have chips in them just in case. You have no idea how many times in my career as a vet tech I heard "But I had a collar with tags on him." When they were frantically searching for their now lost pet. Collars can fall off (or be taken off in the sad cast that you might have your pet stolen). SO GET A MICROCHIP! This poor little pup that I found would be home right now if she had a chip. Instead she is sitting in a kennel at the Murray Animal Shelter. No one has called looking for her yet.

NEXT TIME YOU TAKE YOUR PET IN FOR VACCINES ASK FOR A MICROCHIP. AVID IS MY FAVORITE AND MOST WIDELY USED. JUST SO YOU KNOW. DO IT! YOU WON'T BE SORRY! AND HOPEFULLY YOU'LL NEVER HAVE TO USE IT!

UPS

So the other day I was just minding my own business at work when the door opened. We get deliveries from UPS quite frequently so I've come to know and love the regular guy that stops by. Well, this day was about to rock my world. This was no regular UPS guy. He was wearing a giant gold chain, a white dew rag, and a gold and brown NY hat that was all sparkly. I said "WOW! You sure are stylin up that uniform!" And he said "Well thank you!" Then he proceeded to say "This doesn't happen to be my lucky day and you happen to be single?..." I said "Well aren't you sweet!? I am married and happily so." And he said "Well dang. What's the last name..." And you know how the rest of the questions go along with the delivery of a UPS package. I just thought he was dang awesome livin' his life the way he wants to. He truly inspired me to be my little self. So next time the hair might be blue instead of red, I won't let "the man" keep me down....

Christmas Anyone?

What could say Christmas more then John Denver and the Muppets? I remember watching the show when I was little and thinking how stunning Miss Piggy was and how I wished I could be her (now I am grateful that wish didn't come true). Anyway, my friend Anna-Lisa played me the CD when I was a junior in high school and my life hasn't been the same since. I even got my mom to do the "Christmas is Coming" round on my voicemail once. I kick myself every day for deleting that one. Anyway, this is a random post, but I don't have much else and it's been too long since I wrote anything. So there you go people. John Denver and the Muppets. Merry Christmas!

Gone to Forks....

So I may well be the worst blogger of all time. I was so passionate about it for a while. Now I find myself not knowing what to write about. My time has been swallowed up by a little book called "Twilight." I really want to find Stephanie Myer, and when I do I'm not sure if I will cry, hug and thank her or just strangle her. You see, I am madly in love with Edward. And that could be an understatement. So, I love her for bringing him into my life, but I also hate her for bringing him into my life. I truly believe he is going to fly in my window, make me a vampire, and that we will live together forever in complete happiness. Sad, isn't it? And yet as I speak my brain says "YOU'RE NUTS!" and my heart tells me to just believe. Stupid trash vampires not being real... So, long crazy story short, I have been gone to Forks. I haven't decided if I'm coming back yet, we shall see.... Look at him in these sunglasses! SIGH!
