84% of What?!

Well, Chels and I decided we want to know where these people are coming up with these percentages. 84% of what? Seriously!
Your score on this personality test was 84%

Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural lead, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

HOLY TRASH THAT"S AWESOME!

You Are Megara!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Charming and witty. You are always the first person to come up with a wisecrack. Sure, you have an attitude, but that's why people love you. You keep them on their toes. Sometimes you can be misleading, but always end up doing the right thing for the people you love.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

Viva Las Vegas

So Q and I had the last minute opportunity to go to Vegas on Sunday, so we took it! It was only for one night but totally worth it! We didn't do a whole heck of a lot, but that's how trips should be, laid back with no worries. So we went swimming right off the bat (due to the fact that it was 114 degrees outside) and then went to the Paris buffet for dinner (fabulous and I do recommend). We had the greatest waiter. I know of all the things to be impressed with the waiter is the last thing most people would think of. He was just such a happy guy, and very attentive, and very happy... wait I already said that... After stuffing ourselves full we went on a walk up and down the strip. Only it was still 100 degrees at 9pm, so that was a little disgusting. I really do hate summertime people. I just do. Give me a blizzard with freezing temperatures and I am a happy girl! Anywho, we then went back to the hotel where more swimming ensued. I do love to swim though, that is the one good thing about warm weather. I'd say that pretty much wraps up the trip. Other than we went to In-N-Out burger on the way out of Vegas. Which I love... sadly food brings me much joy.

IT'S MEG AGAIN!

Alright kids, I'M BACK! I know it has been a long time since I last posted, and there is not really an excuse for most of it. But, I do have an excuse for the last week, most of you who read my blog read Chels' blog, so you probably know I had surgery. The first "real" surgery I've had before. I was scared to death I must say. Anywho, it went well and I couldn't be happier that it's over. I have NOT felt like myself since last Wednesday, then all of a sudden, yesterday it hit me! I was myself again! Wow! I stopped taking my pain pills the day after surgery because I really wasn't in pain, I was just so darn dizzy and nauseous... But never again! Sheesh!
My little cats stayed by my side the ENTIRE time. From the second I came home Sushi was glued to me especially. Thanks to my husband, my Chels, my mom, and my Sushi Marie for takin such good care of me! Kansas (aka the hooker) gets an honorable mention. To everyone who came to see me, or called, or texted, THANKS! Ford also gets a shout out for bringing me a slurpee the night I got home from surgery, I JUST NEEDED IT! I'm so glad she's a part of my family too...

Who Needs Sleep?

Well you're never gonna get it... For any Barenaked Ladies fans out there, that is one of my favorite songs of theirs! It was Chels and my theme song our senior year of high school. The Barenaked Ladies are my very very favorite band of all time. I'll burn any of you a cd anytime if you'd like to give them a shot. You'll fall in love with their wit and brilliance quickly. I'd put money down on it. You know, this blog was not going to be about BNL, but it certainly turned out that way. By the way, this picture is of Ed, one of the members of BNL, and I might add, my lust of a man. You should hear him sing and you should see his blue eyes! Oh my heavens. Plus he has the greatest sense of humor! (Quenten knew about Ed when he married me, so I feel okay about my confession to everyone else. I just love Ed! I LOVE HIM!)

So the reason for the title is that I can't sleep again these days. I am so dang tired all day long and then when it comes time for sleep I just can't do it. It's really bothersome. So, I am sitting here watching my design shows and I thought "Why not blog?" I've fought off the addiction for too long.

Today was a good day for me. It always is when I get to cut my hair. There are few things more liberating to me than cutting my hair. It is just so dang freeing. The one thing I have control over in my life is my freakin hair, and so I change it all of the time. I loved my last hair cut and color, as shown in the picture with Chels, but it wasn't punk enough. It is definitely punk now. And I love it. I must say, of all of the reasons I go to my salon, one of the top reasons is the fact that I get a 20-30 minute shampoo/head massage! That is one of the great loves of my life, head massages! And they have these lazy-boy like recliners that you lay in the whole time. Plus, they have the coolest bottled water I have ever seen! Honestly, they are these giant glass bottles that are just so sleek and modern. You would be just as psyched about this dang bottle if you saw it.

THIS IS THE GUY

So, I am always telling people I want an English Mastiff and they have NO IDEA what I am talking about. So, I have decided to put a little info here to inform you all. This might be boring to some of you, but it is highly interesting to me. Here are some breed standards for English Mastiffs and a picture above. Only I want a brindle (tiger striped) not a fawn like in the picture. I spend much of my free time looking through rescue organizations for dogs/puppies up for adoption. I would give anything to have my baby dog RIGHT NOW! But, due to the stupid HOA we belong to, which I unknowingly joined, I can't have this baby til we sell. If it were up to me we would move just for the dog. That might seem sad to some of you, "She runs her life around a dog" you might say, but he is all I want. I don't know if Q knew what he was getting into when he married me... Love you Quenten!

SIZE:

The AKC standard height (per their website) for this breed is 30 inches (minimum) at the shoulder for males and 27½ inches (minimum) at the shoulder for females. A typical male can weigh 160-230+ pounds, a typical female would weigh 140-190+ pounds.

TEMPERMENT:

It is a well-mannered house pet but needs sufficient room for exercise and activity. This is an extremely loyal breed, though not excessively demonstrative. It is exceptionally devoted to its family and good with children. The three words that best describe their temperment would be gentle, loyal and affectionate.

Patches and Pukes

So Jordan is one of my good friends, and as such I wanted to meet his fiance when I heard the news. They were coming over last week to watch my wedding video to see if they wanted to use the same videographer. I was happy to oblige as I personally like it.... SURPRISE... So I was cleaning up my condo to make it presentable. I had been in a bit of pain most of the day and thought it was just normal/stupid abdominal pain that I have had for the last few years off and on. But, as I answered the door to let Jordan and his fiance in I found myself on the verge of puking! I let them in and said "If you'll excuse me I need to vomit." And I went in the bathroom and puked. It's been quite a few years since I have had that kind of sickness, and what a time to be hit with it again. Jordan's fiance looked like she was worried the whole time we watched the movie, and she was very nice about the whole thing. The video was over and Jordan said "Well we better go so you can get some rest." I said "Oh, I need to go again..." And he yelled to me "We'll see ourselves out. Lock the door when you're done!" as I puked. Which I thought was very kind of him to be concerned about. I am a firm believer that the door should be locked anytime you are inside. Anywho, that was an interesting night to say the least. Hopefully she'll give me another chance some other time. (The picture here is pretty odd, I thought it was appropriate for such a story. I look like an idiot.) And hopefully no one got sick while reading this. Chels and Q think my stories can be blunt and graphic, but after being a veterinary technician there is no shame in anything. And few things make me ill. So I speak quite freely. I named this "Patches and Pukes" because Jordan had a cat named patches who I believe may have been Sushi's grandma or something. They look and act so much alike and I was excited to introduce her to Jordan. Here's another pic of Sushi....
